Jazz dance is a genre that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Jazz is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance and provides the building blocks for all dance technique.
DFR offers Jazz/Tap combination classes for our younger dancers, as well as beginner through advanced level Jazz classes, and our unique Jazz Funk class which blends elements of Jazz and Hip Hop for a fun, sassy style!
