Jazz dance is a versatile dance genre that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Jazz is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, intricate footwork, big leaps and quick turns. To excel in jazz, dancers need a strong background in ballet, as it encourages grace and balance and provides the building blocks for all dance technique.
DFR offers Jazz/Tap combination classes for our younger dancers, as well as beginner through advanced level Jazz/Contemporary/Lyrical fusion classes, which explore all elements of the versatile Jazz genre.
